Signing up at HyeSingles is a relatively straightforward process; you’ll only have to accomplish two steps.

Step 1: Basic Information
Located in the upper right portion of the homepage, answering this one-page form is as easy as 1,2,3.

Select your orientation and preference; since HyeSingles only caters to straight singles, this process should be quick. You will also be asked to include your location (city and country) as well as your date of birth.

Then, you’ll need to input your email address and nominated password. Note that HyeSingles will only accept unique screen names; no spaces, brackets, or quotes and it should be at least four characters long. After, you’ll also have to key in your password before clicking “Continue.”

Step 2: Creating Your Profile 
After clicking “Continue,” you will automatically customize your profile. This step is not skippable, but the answers are pre-composed so that it won’t take much of your time.

Also, completing your profile unlocks your ability to send unlimited likes; for us, this is a win-win situation.

Select your answers for questions on your physique (body type, height, eye and hair color), profession (occupation and educational attainment), and lifestyle and perspective (vices, religion, politics).

You will also be quizzed on your parental status, ethnicity, languages, and music taste although you can choose not to divulge that much information fresh from signing up; the “I’ll tell you later” option is available for most questions.

Lastly, you will be asked to upload a primary photo. This step is skippable, so if you want to look around first, you may do so. However, you won’t be able to check out a member’s profile and interact with them without a photo.

Although it is not required, you should verify your email address. That way, it’s easier to recover your account in case you forget your login details.

Since members are required to complete their profile and compelled to upload a photo, it was quite easy to see which profiles are suspicious. They’re the ones without any photo, and their answers were mostly “I’ll tell you later.”

In terms of communication, standard and paying members won’t have functionalities to choose from other than the following:

Likes
As mentioned, all members are entitled to send unlimited likes once they fill out their profiles. The “Like” feature is a wordless way to flirt with any member who caught your eye. This feature is free, and it automatically collates the profiles of all the members you “liked.” 

This will come in handy in moments when you forgot a member’s user name, but you want to get in touch with them. Go to the “Activity” tab and click “You Liked” to view their profile.

Slideshow
HyeSingles also has a version of the popular swipe function. The “Slideshow” feature allows you to browse HyeSingles members one-at-a-time.

Chat
The main functionality of HyeSingles, exchange thoughts, words, and feelings via Chat. This feature is exclusively for Platinum members only.

It seems like communicating at HyeSingles will be pretty basic: chatting. Since you can’t get in touch with a member without a subscription, you are quite reassured that there’s a real and paying person behind the username you are chatting.

What’s somewhat unique at HyeSingles is the presentation of a member’s profile. Three photos and the members' age, marital status and location are arranged in a neat grid-style layout. This arrangement helps you get a good look at the member’s best photos before diving into their complete details.

The member’s bio follows the grid header. While browsing, we noticed that members do not hold back when it comes to writing this section. Since it is free-form, you get to read the personality and humor of a member through their bio.

The answers during Step 2 of the registration process will be featured in the Appearance and My Lifestyle Tabs.

Other information you can add on after signing up includes your:

• Interests
• Personality
• Ideal Type

You can also add up to 20 photos; the remaining images which won’t be featured in the grid will be placed at rightmost sidelines.

One of HyeSingles upsides is its profile. Although members may not answer the additional sections, the details provided during the registration process is enough to gauge if a member may be a potential match.
